Guide to Adding a Product in WooCommerce

Access the Product Management Page

• Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
• Navigate to Products > Add new product.

Enter Product Details

Step 1: Product Title and Description

• Enter the Product Name in the title field.
• Add a detailed Product Description in the content editor.

Step 2: Set the Product Data Simple Product

• In the Product Data section, choose Simple Product.
• Regular Price: Enter the product price.
• Sale Price (optional): Set a discounted price if applicable.
• Inventory: Manage stock by enabling Stock Management and specifying the available quantity.
• Shipping: Enter the weight, dimensions, and shipping class if necessary.

Step 3: Add Product Categories and Tags

• Select or create a Category to help organize your product.
• Add relevant Tags to improve searchability.

Step 4: Upload Product Images

• Product Image: Click Set Product Image to upload the main product image.
• Product Gallery: Add additional images to showcase different angles of the product.

Publish the Product

• Review all product details.
• Click Publish to make the product live on your store.

Additional Steps for Creating a Variable Product

If you want to create a product with variations, follow these additional steps:

Step 1: Select Variable Product

• In the Product Data section, choose Variable Product instead of Simple Product.

Step 2: Add Attributes

• Go to the Attributes tab and click Add New.
• Enter the attribute name (e.g., Size, Color) and add values (e.g., Small, Medium, Large).
• Enable the option Used for Variations and click Save Attributes.

Step 3: Create Variations

• Go to the Variations tab.
• Click Generate Variations to automatically create all possible variations based on attributes, or click Add Manually to create variations one by one.

Step 4: Configure Variation Details

• For each variation, fill in the necessary details, including:
  • Regular Price and Sale Price
  • Stock Status
  • SKU (if needed)
  • Image (optional but recommended)

Step 5: Enable Price by Quantity

• Under the Price by Quantity settings:
  • Enable Price By Quantity by selecting Enable Unique.
  • Choose a suitable Quantity Pricing Type for discount calculation.
  • Select a Pricing Table Layout to determine how the price table appears.

Step 6: Configure Pricing Tables and Set Min/Max Quantity

• Define discount levels based on quantity purchased.
• Set minimum and maximum quantity limits if applicable.

Once these steps are completed, your variable product is fully set up and ready to be published.
